ドイツの外国人局(Foreign Citizen`s Office-Auslaenderbehoerde）

ドイツでは３か月を超えて滞在する場合は下記の手続きが必要です。

(Japanese people (or all people) who wish to stay in Germany more than 3 months must do the procedure bellow.)

１．入国後、１～２週間以内に居住地を管轄する住民登録局にて住民届をする。

(After entering to Germany, within one or two weeks you must register as a resident of your city at Einwohnermeldeamt)

２．入国後、９０日以内に許可がえられるように、外国人局にて滞在許可証の発行を

　　申請する。

 (After entering to Germany, within 90 days you must apply for a resident permit at Ausländerbehörde)

＊２０００年１２月１５日から日本国籍者は日本でビザの申請をする必要がなくなりました。

(From December 15th in 2000, people with Japanese nationalities aren`t required to obtain a visa before entering to Germany.)

ビザの種類も色々ありますので、この他の手続きに関しては個人差があると思います。

(There are various kinds of visas, so other procedures must be done depending on each person.)

私の場合は、着いてから一週間後に旦那の会社のドイツ人スタッフに助けて頂き外国人局で滞在許可の手続きをしました。

(The German staff of my husband`s company helped me to proceed all paper works for this Foreign Citizen`s Office-Auslaenderbehoerde after one week of my arrival.)

実は、駐在員の配偶者もドイツで働くことができます。興味深いことに、滞在許可で許されている労働時間は配偶者によって変わります。現地に住む日本人の間でもよく話されますが、同じ会社の中であっても外国人局から労働許可が下りる人と下りない人がいるそうです。駐在員の会社で決められている規定を除き、人によって労働規定がなぜ変わってしまうのか、不思議に思っています。

(In fact, a spouse of a resident employee is allowed to work in Germany. It is intriguing that each spouse would have a different working-time permit. Among Japanese people with a spouse visa, it is also said that some spouses may receive the working permits, but others don`t. Except the working regulations provided by each firm, I wonder why some spouses can work and others cannot)

労働許可に関しては、日本大使館に問い合わせをしても分りません。現地の外国人局が管理しているデーターファイルにのみ情報があります。しかしながら、外国人局を訪ねてくる外国人達はドイツ語が堪能な方が多いため、外国人局のスタッフの中にも英語があまり話せない方もいらっしゃいます。一部の方からはドイツ語を話せる人と一緒に行くべきという声も上がっていますが、私は労働許可に関して質問をしに自分で行きました。

(You cannot ask Japanese embassy any questions about the working permit for a spouse. The data file of your case is managed only by the foreign citizen`s office. However, most foreigners coming to this foreign office can speak German fluently. That means the local staff working at the office don`t have to speak in English. Someone told me that I couldn`t visit  the foreign citizen`s office without a German speaker, but I just went there by myself to ask about my working permit.)

外国人局に入るとすぐ右側にインフォメーションと書かれた受付があります。そこで、要件を伝え担当者のオフィスへ案内されます。英語が伝わらない場合を想定していたので、私は要件をドイツ語で書いた紙を持っていきました。さすが、ドイツ語で書かれた文章を見せただげて、ほとんど待つことなくオフィスへ通されました。

(When you enter the foreign citizen`s office(in Frankfurt), you will see the reception on your right hand. Then, you must tell them what procedure you want to do. I thought it would take much less time if I could communicate with them in German. So I jotted down my questions on a piece of paper in German, and just showed it to one of the staffs at the office. As I had expected, soon I could get to see the person in charge of my working permit.)

嬉しい事に、私はドイツで時間制限なく働ける（自営業を除く）滞在許可証を貰えることになっています。旦那の会社でも特に厳しい規定は設けられていないみたいですが、最終的には旦那の上司によって判断されます。

(Fortunately, I will receive a working permit with unlimited working time. But I have to talk to the head of German branch of my husband`s company once I find a job here.)

旦那の会社で駐在員の配偶者が働きたいと申し出たケースは初めてだと言われました。仰ることは理解できます。でも、私はドイツに滞在しているこの長期間で色々なことを学べるだけ学んで日本へ帰国したいと、どうしても思ってしまいます。働けないなら学校へ行きたい。学校へ行けないなら働きたい。

(The head of my husband`s department said it was his first time to meet a spouse who wanted to work here. I understand what he meant but I would love to learn as many things as possible in Germany and go back to Japan. If I cannot work, I want to study in school. If I cannot 

study in school, I want to work.)

ドイツに来てから約一カ月が経過しました。ウォームアップはここまでですね。そろそろ本腰を入れたいと思います。

(It`s been one month since I came to Germany. I feel it`s time to start my adventure seriously.)

ドイツ人のお友達(My New German Friend）

事件は、日本からの荷物を一人で片づけていた時に起こりました。

(The incident happened when I was cleaning up our apartment alone)

空になった段ボール箱を後で捨てるため、玄関のドアを開けて出た時です。

(When I tried to leave the cardboard boxes just next to the front door of our apartment....

“バターン！”っと音が鳴り、自宅の玄関のドアが閉まってしまいました。

（Ｉ heard the noise, “Bang～！”The front door of our apartment got locked with a loud bang!)

私はうっかり家の鍵を家に置いたまま、靴も履かない状態で立ち往生状態になってしまいました。

その時、腕時計は午後１８時を指してチクタクと動いています。不幸にも、旦那の仕事が一番忙しい日で帰ってくるまで、６時間も待たなければいけない状態になりました。

(I quite forgot about my keys inside the apartment, so I got stuck in front of the door with no shoes on. At that time, my watch said it was 6pm. I knew my husband would come home after midnight because of work . Then, I would have to wait for more than 6 hours doing nothing in front of the door.)

“どうしよう？！どうしよう！？”

("What to do? What to do?")

携帯やお金があれば何とかできますが、靴も履かずに身一つで取り残されてしまいました。

(If I had my cellphone or money with me, I could solve this problem, but I got alone with no shoes on.)

私達のアパートの住人は夜まで働いて家を空けている人が多いのでアパート内にいるか分りませんでした。でも、このままアパートの廊下で６時間も待つことができないと感じ、取り敢えず誰かに電話を借りよう！と思いました。(Also, I thought most of our neighbors wouldn`t come home soon , so I did n`t know if someone was still in this apartment complex.. But I couldn`t stand waiting for 6 hours until my husband comes back home. Anyway, let`s just see if there is someone inside his/her apartment and borrow his/her cellphone!)

何件かピンポンを鳴らして、やっと一人部屋から出てきました。若い女の子のＥちゃんです。近所の大学で法律を勉強している学生さんで、英語はもちろんペラペラでした。背の高い男の人でなくて良かったとホットしてしまいました。( After ringing the bells of the several rooms, finally I got to meet with this young lady, who was a student in law school near our house. As Miss E was a young German student, she could speak English fluently. I was kind of glad to meet a woman not a man under this situation.)

余談になりますが、ドイツではシュレックの様に大きい体の男性を多々目にします。身長が高くて、体もガッシリしています。電車に乗る度に私は視界に入っているのだろうか？と心配になります。
(In this connection, I may add that in Germany I am surprised to see big German guys like the character, Shrek in the movie. Those men are really tall and look powerful. Everytime when I take a subway or a train in Frankfurt, I wonder if those men actually come to the sight of me. ＾＿＾;)

それはともかく、話に戻ります。笑
(Anyway, I will come back to the main topic.)

Ｅちゃんは快くｉＰｈｏｎｅを貸してくれました。ネットが使えるので旦那の電話番号もＥｍａｉｌから検索できて、電話をかけることができました。旦那も忙しいので、取り敢えずタクシーに乗って会社まで行くことになりました。フ～ひと安心。(So, Miss E let me use her iPhone, so I could search my husband`s phone number in my email account and called him to find a way to get the house key.Since my husband was really busy at work, I decided to take a taxi to go to his company. At this point, I felt so relieved.)

タクシーを待つ間、Ｅちゃんと英語でおしゃべりをしました。年齢も近くて感じが似てるので、すぐに話が盛り上がりました。話していく中で、管理人さんが隣りの部屋で家族と暮らしていることが判明。でも、鍵を持っているか分からないので、取り敢えず訪ねてみることにしました。
(While waiting for a taxi, I enjoyed chatting with Miss E in English. She was around my age and a slimier type of person with me, so we got along really well. As we talked each other, she realized our superintendent lived next door and might have the key of my apartment. Soon, we both went to visit his place.)

ドアをノックすると、インド人のおじさんがドアから出てきました。
(When I rang the bell, an Indian man came out from the house.)

私は、“あれ？この方１週間前にゴミ捨てを手伝ってくれたおじさんだ！”と思いました。
( I thought, "he is the man who helped me throw the garbage a week ago!".)

実は、鍵騒動の前にゴミ捨て騒動もありました。（笑）引っ越してきたばかりでアパートの裏庭にゴミを捨てに行こうと思った時、ごみの捨て方が分らず悩んでいると近所のドイツ人達とインド人のおじさんが私の周りを囲うように集まってきました。
(In fact, the garbage-incident also happened a week ago. lol When I just moved in this apartment complex and didn`t know how to throw the garbage, some neighbors came outside and were offering me some help.) 

インド人のおじさんは、“May I help you?"と英語で話しかけてくれましたが、その後ドイツ語でベラベラ話されていたので、取りあえず“Ich heiße Naomi"と自己紹介だけしておきました。
(The Indian man said, " May I help you?" in English but after that he talked me all in German.
So, I just introduced myself as “Ich heiße Naomi".)

“ゴミを捨てに来ただけなのに。。何で、私は囲まれているのだろうか？”（笑）っと疑問に思いましたが、ルールを守るドイツでは当たり前なのかしら、とも思いました。

( It was funny that I was surrounded by my neighbors and all of them were watching me trash the garbage.) 

実は、このインド人の彼こそ、アパートの管理人さんだったのです。幸運にも彼はアパートの鍵を管理していて、ロックされた私の部屋を開けてくれました。お陰様で、旦那の会社にも行かずにすみました。(So, this Indian man was the superintendent of our apartment. Fortunately, he had the key of my house and unlocked the door for me. Thanks to everyone, I didn`t have to go to my husband`s company.)

この一連の事件を助けてくれたのは、近所のＥちゃんです。電話を長く借りてしまったので、お食事に誘い女子会をしました。話がまた弾み、２次会までしちゃいました。
(The young lady, Miss E took her time to help me out for this incident. Since I used her cell phone quite a long time, I asked her out for dinner and we had such a fun girl`s night!)

家の鍵を忘れて、友達ができたのは初めてです。私の人生って面白いですね！
(This is my first time to make a friend by forgetting the house key! My life is so interesting!)

ドイツの市場-クライン・マルクト・ハレ-(Kleinmarkthalle)

美味しいラム肉のステーキが買える！と聞いて行ってみようと思った場所は、Kleinmarkthalle（クライン・マルクト・ハレ）と呼ばれるフランクフルトの生鮮食品市場です。
(As someone told me that I could get good lamb chops in Kleinmarkthalle which is a fresh market in Frankfurt, I googled the direction and finally got here!)

入口はこんな感じで小さいのですが、中に入ると野菜、果物、肉、魚、パン、香辛料が沢山売られている市場です。

(As you can see, the entrance is pretty small but inside there is a huge market selling fresh vegetables, fruits, meets, fish, bread and all kinds of spices.)

私は下の写真のお肉屋さんでラム肉をゲットしました。
(I got the lamb chops at this butcher shop. Look at the picture below.)

取り敢えず、マリネトしてみよう～！

（I gatta marinate this lamb chop!)

ちょっと焦がしちゃったけど美味しく頂けました。

(I burned the meet a bit but it was really yummy and juicey.)

ドイツのデパートGALERIA Kauhof （Department Store in Germany）

フランクフルトの中心街にHauptwache駅があります。この駅には有名なGALERIA Kauhofというデパートがあります。このデパートの地下フロアにはサラダやお惣菜、ソーセージ、菓子パン、日本のお寿司やお弁当まで美味しいものが沢山売られています。

( Frankfurt-Hauptwache station is a major metro station located in the center of Frankfurt. Near this station, there is a famous department store called "GALERIA Kauhof. On the basement level, they sell a lot of freshly-prepared sidedishes such as salad, sausages, pastries, Japanese sushi and even bento-boxes.)

最近、バレエのクラスの後にヨガサークルにも参加し始めました。長期で挑戦してみようと思いヨガマットをKauhofで購入。先生に聞いたら、日本では５、６千円すると聞きましたが、私は２０ユーロくらいのお手軽価格のマットを買って様子を見ることにします。

(Recently, I started to do Yoga after the ballet class. Then I asked my instructor where I could get a grippy mat for Yoga. She told me to buy one at GALERIA Kauhof for 50 or 60 Euro, but I found a cheaper yoga mat for 20 Euro. I`ll see how long I can continue to learn Yoga.)

ドイツでiPhone5C入手（I got iPhone5C)

人生で初めてスマートフォンを使う決断をしました。
( I decided to start using a smart-phone for the first time in my life)

( I ordered this iPhone5c online from the Japanese carrier called "berry mobile" located in Dusseldorf where the majority of representatives of Japanese firms live)

これで旦那や日本の家族と無料国際電話ができます。それに加えて、私は方向音痴なので地図（GPS）がついていて便利です。
(Finally, I will be able to call my husband and my family in Japan for free via Skype or other apps.
Besides, I like myself using GPS to find directions in case I get lost in Germany.)


ご覧のとおり、ドイツのプラグ形状はC-2タイプで大抵の電化製品は２２０ボルトです。

ドイツの統一記念日(German Unity Day)

１０月３日はドイツの統一記念日です。
October 3rd is German Unity Day)
初めて、フランクルトにある教会へ足を運びました。
(This was my first time to visit one of Christian churches in Frankfurt.)

教会の中は非常に広くて、神父さんと聖歌を担当しているドイツ人の一般市民数人がキリスト像の近くで祈りを捧げていました。( Inside the church, a father and his people were offering up prayers and singing a song of praise to God.)

思っていたよりも人の数は少ない様子でしたが、家族で訪れるグループが多いことに気がつきました。( There were`t more people than I had expected, but I noticed that there were more groups of families visiting this church for this national holiday.)

ドイツでは日曜日と祝日に買い物に行くことができません。ほとんどの会社（仕事にもよりますが）やお店はお休みです。ドイツの家庭では皆どんな一日を過ごしているのでしょうか。( In Germany, you cannot go to any stores on Sundays and some national holidays because most of the stores are closed and people rest at home. What would people be doing today at home? ) 

ドイツのバレエ教室（Ballet in Germany)

いよいよ、１０月に突入ですね。近所の木々がだんだん黄色くなってきました。

( Happy October! The leaves on trees are turning red and yellow little by little)

秋は運動の季節ということで、昔７年ほど習っていたクラシックバレエをまた再開することにしました。偶然見つけたのはドイツで１６年間バレエを勉強されてきた日本人の先生の教室です。

( As Japanese people often say the autumn is the season for sports, I decided to restart taking a ballet lesson at mika yuasa ballet studio. The instructor has been dancing ballet for 16 years in Germany.)

レッスン料は９０分で１０ユーロです。毎回レッスン後に払うので非常に良心的です。

(The lesson fee is 10 Euro per 90 minutes and I can pay it by cash  after each lesson)
*クラスにより料金は違います。(The price changes depending on the class.)

場所はRödelheim駅から歩いて5分くらいのところにあります。フランクフルト中央駅からだとSバーン（電車）で約１５分くらいです。私はUバーン（地下鉄）から乗り継いで行くので、２５分くらいかかります。( The studio is located about 5 minute-walk from Rödelheim Sta.)

電車からフランクフルトの街の風景を眺めていると、心が穏やかになっていく感じがします。

( While talking a train to R.H, I can see the nice view of the city. It is really relaxing to do so.)
