ブタのケーキで誕生日(Pig Cake for my Bday)

誕生日に運転免許の学科試験を受けるとは予定してなかった。でも見事！ＡＴ免許を入手できました。実際、日本の交通ルールは異なるため、日本で運転するのは難しかった。今夜は豚のケーキとスパークリングワインを美味しく頂くことができました。ＩＢＯの旦那は東京で最後のお仕事中です。それでも、誕生日には素敵なお花を送ってくれました。

Although I did't expect I was going to take a written test on my birthday, I succeeded!  In fact it was a bit more difficult for me to drive in Japan due to the different traffic rules.  Tonight I got a pig birthday cake! It was  tasty with a glass of wine. My husband is still busy working in Tokyo, but he mailed me some flowers for my birthday.

イチゴの生クリームで中はチョコレートスポンジとクリームが入っています。甘すぎず食べやすい！

This cake is covered with some strawberry whipped cream & two fresh strawberries. It is not too sweet! So light to eat! 

２５歳の目標(My Goal for 25 years old )

シンプルな生活を満喫できるってどんな人でしょうか？

前の会社の上司に以前こんな質問をしたことがある。
I've asked my senior worker these questions

ＩＢＯ：あなたのお気に入りの国はどこですか？
What is your favorite country?

SW：ドイツです。
Germany 

ＩＢＯ：なぜ？ドイツが好きなのですか？
Why do you like Germany?

SW：人も物も生活スタイルも全てが単純化されているからです。
Everything, including people, things, life style is simplified in Germany.That is why I like it there.

IBO:そうなんですか
Oh really?

単純化でするには物事を本当に理解する必要がある。最近はこのシンプルな生活を楽しむスキルにに興味があります。

I think we need to comprehend things  in order to simplify. Recently, I’m interested in  simple life. 


私の２５歳の目標はシンプルライフを楽しむことです。

My goal for 25 year old IBO is to rejoice my simple life.

小学校からの友人達(Old Friends from Elementary School）

先日アイボが小学校で出会い、中学校で仲良くなった二人の友人と三人で女子会をしました。

The other day I  met up with two of my best friends back in Elementary and junior high school　.

皆良い意味で成長したし、全く違う経験もしてきたよね。

We all grew up in a good way while our lives go on completely in  a different way.

それでも人間の根本的な部分は変わらないのです。ある意味変らないって良いことかもね。

Nevertheless our fundamental personalities stay the same. In a sense it's another type of a good change.

バーでは六年ぶりに会えた友人達とドギマギするのではないかと心配でした。

It’s been more than 6 years since we saw each other last, then we all were concerned about having awkward atmosphere at the bar. 

何の違和感もなく以前のように楽しめました。

However we had a blast without stress  like before, having girl's talk all night long.

そんな友人たちは宝物です。

These friends are my treasures. 

スーパー最短自動車講習(Two-weeks Driving School in Japan)

旦那に進められ、某自動車学校でドイツへ渡欧する前に日本の運転免許を取得することになりました。

As my husband recommended me, I planned to obtain a Japanese driver's license before leaving for Germany.

アメリカでは少なくとも二年間（大学留学時代）の運転経験があります。
In the U.S, I had been driving at least for 2 years.

カリフォルニアのDMV（アメリカの自動車局）では筆記と実技を合わせても＄３０しか払わなかった。しかも友人に運転を教えてもらってOKなので教習所に行く必要なし。

In Socal (Southern California), DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) charged me only $30 both for the written and drive tests. Also, my friends were allowed to teach me driving. In other words, I didn't have to go to school.

でも日本では約３０万円かかります。

However, it costs me 30,000 yen ( $3000) in Japan.

二年前に東京に住み始めた時は電車が非常に便利に感じました。結局、運転免許は必要ないと思い外国免許を日本免許へ書き換えしなかったアイボなのです。

When I just started to live in Tokyo about 2 years ago, I found it quit convenient with trains or public transportation. In the end, I thought I wouldn't need a Japanese driver's license and didn't switch the U.S. license.


６月に結婚して９月にドイツへ行くということで、今しか運転免許を取る時間がありません。普通は３ヵ月間学校へ通わなければいけませんが、幸いにも某自動車学校ではスーパー最短自動車講習があり、１５日間でATの普通免許が取得に挑戦します。講師の方は本当に厳しいかもしれません。

I got married in June and will fly to Germany in September. It means at this moment I should work on my Japanese driver's license.  In general an official driving school in Japan requires students to study  for 3 months. But fortunately I got the shortest curriculum which takes only 15 days to complete everything.Therefore, my driving instructor can be really tough. Wish me a good luck!

夏は北海道へ(Summer in Hokkaido)

こんにちは。IBOです。

２０１３年の７月１日現在。札幌の実家に帰ってきました。
旦那はまだ東京でお仕事中です。ドイツへ出発まで後２ヵ月近くあります。
私の現時点での課題はドイツ語の勉強と運転免許を取ることです。
